This year at DIETS we plan to discuss some of the more influential  “isms” in the Church, how they got started, why they caught on, and what has happened (or, what we may yet expect to see) as a result. This  will be  a very practical study,  not only to see  each one from a  biblical perspective,  but to examine as well how we ourselves may be affected  by such  ideas. If you know of young adults who would like to sit in on any of these, late teens to late forties, please invite them.  All young adults are most welcome to  attend,  regardless  of their background or church affiliation.  These are supper meetings, however, and our one request is that the cooks should be kept informed regarding the approximate number  they might  be expected to  feed.  Opportunity will be given each time for questions, and it is hoped that this may lead, in turn,to even further discussion.  The proposed schedule is as follows:

29 January   – The Charismatic Movement

26 February – The Positive Confession Movement

25 March  – Antinomianism , Easy Believism, and the Lordship Controversy

29 April     – Arminianism and Open Theism

27 May      – Calvinism and Hyper-Calvinism

24 June      – The New Calvinism
